Shruti Sareen, born and brought up in Varanasi, U.P., studied at Rajghat Besant School, a Krishnamurti Foundation institution. She has done her BA English hons and MA English from Indraprastha College, Delhi University. She would like to go into research and build an academic career for herself. She has been writing from an early age, and has steadily become increasingly interested in the genre of poetry. She usually writes "confessional" poetry from felt-lived experience, everyday objects and experiences,"nature" poetry, "feminist" poetry, and love poetry! She has had poems and articles published in "Children's World" -- A CBT Publication, Gobar Times -- a supplement of the magazine "Down to earth", "Wake Up India"- a chennai based magazine, and "The Little Magazine".
