    Dear Editors,

I have long been wondering about how to work with your publication. I am a research consultant on feminist ethnographic studies with Shirkat Gah, a feminist organisation, an ngo, a resource centre, etc. We started some work here on queer studies or transgendered studies  beginning with workshops with the staff (50 people in Lahore office) exploring stereotypes of masculinity and femininty and how we relate to people who deviate from that, I have spoken at seminars and at consultative workshops on "masculinised women" both hetero and homo varieties thereof, on trans communities and sex workers finding representation in the national census, and a friend and colleague has also visually documented the Trans people and sex workers, for instance, in religious rituals like Ashura.

Although I worked as a journalist for a number of years, I can no longer fit expression into a thousand word declamation. So how to share work with you?

Umayr

Dear editors,

I am Umayr, a graduate student of Pakistani origin currently residing in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I am also the outreach coordinator of Trikone Atlanta, which  a social and support group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender people of South Asian heritage and their friends in the Southeastern United States.

We admire and appreciate the wonderful work that your magazine is doing in opening up the space to discuss sex and sexuality in Pakistan, in particular, and South Asia, in general. We hope to contribute to the magazine's development and growth.

We would also request you to add the Trikone Atlanta website URL (http://trikoneatlanta.org/)  to your Resources web page. Through your magazine, we hope to reach out to queer people of South Asian origin, or their allies, who may be resident of or visiting the state of Georgia. You may also find the Resource web page on our website interesting since it contains links to other South Asian LGBT group in the US.

Thank you for your time. Again, we enthusiastically support your efforts in creating awareness about sex and sexuality.

Regards,
Umayr
